A Queen of Two Worlds.

She had built a small world for herself

And in it she lived as the Queen of Hearts

There was everything in there she ever wished for

A much beautiful place than what Alice saw.

There were no rivers or any chirpy birds singing on branches in there

Only a few precious streams of lifelines her world and memories relied on

Warm and glistening because of beautiful sunshine

She knew she ruled a place that had it all.

Lifelines gave her power, strength and wisdom,

One of them gave her a reason to live as the lifeline of Love,

She grew in the world to be beautiful and special,

While everyone sought for such treasure in their own worlds.

The world she built gave me a reason to smile,

The smallest of things made the biggest of difference

And the fewest of things looked many within the walls

Contentment and love is all the world had before it could fall.

The Queen of Hearts took a bow one day

And then everything was lost

The world came crashing down into bits and pieces

By the time she looked up, one lifeline was gone.

The world yet exists, with some light shining through randomness

And a few lifelines that put her back on her feet

She begged her memories to revive, empty and lone

Because she had forgotten her existence, she had no remains of Love.

Brick by brick she rebuilt the world, on a foundation so weak,

Though few colors existed bright with frequent darkness and shades.

She let herself go in search of memories, as she grew up within herself

And one day the Queen of Hearts took reigns as the Queen of Spades.

People who are reading this, btw, you need to clear up your GK on the Queen of Spades. The Queen of Spades on a deck of cards is considered to be the unlucky mascot for a Game of Hearts. Therefore usually the person who gets her is “out” of the game. She also has some relevance being the 13th number on the set. Yet she is an intelligent figure who is practical and wise. I think she can be my lucky Mascot. Probably a comparitive version of the Hindu God Shani a.k.a. Saturn. This poem I wrote here is to honour her, as I am completely inspired by this figure. This is my version of how probably she maybe another avataar of the Queen of Hearts herself. This is the way I put the story of how she became a different person after a few things that changed her life.

I think we need to have a reverse game of Spades now don’t we ;) ?
